Re: I've been wanting to read Dracula for a while. ? Send a noteboard - 23/01/2011 01:28:57 PM
I think it is vital to understand the time in which it was written. The book is very much reliant on the attitudes that existed then. The Wikipedia article - and links within - would probably be sufficient to help with that.

Okay. I'll look into it.
But it is worth a read, definitely. I'd be interested to see what you thought of it if you did give it a try.

Fine, I'll try reading it. But if I have one bad night of sleep...:shakefist:
Oh and my username is what it is because I couldn't think of a better username...I'm not trying to be obnoxious.

Cancer never fights fair. Rest in peace Mrs. Cohen, you will be missed.

You know, I have to agree with Cannoli, though without the all caps and the queen-fucking. - 23/01/2011 10:48:36 PM 1572 Views
Of course. - 23/01/2011 10:54:41 PM 1472 Views
I won't be as mad as Cannoli, or pedantic as Tom but it is an Irish novel - 23/01/2011 11:11:05 PM 1547 Views
