I hope to be done with it this evening Larry Send a noteboard - 22/01/2011 05:09:23 PM
It's been a challenge, enough so that I'll read the just-arrived Easton Press translation after I finish a couple of chapters to make sure I comprehended things (I have, for the most part), but yet the descriptions fell into place for me after the third or fourth chapter.

I think it's the most challenging thing I've read in French yet.

On the rest, I'll wait until you're done and have more thoughts.

By the way, last night, in my paperback edition, it had "Marianne dansant," in case you were curious. Oh, and a footnote as well referencing Salome.
Illusions fall like the husk of a fruit, one after another, and the fruit is experience. - Narrator, Sylvie
