I didn't even remotely try. Tom Send a noteboard - 02/01/2011 01:04:35 AM
I read some of the longest books ever published last year, and there were two six-week periods when I just couldn't read anything, so I think getting to 25 was an achievement. That counts Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire as one book (not six, which is how many volumes it was broken into in my edition) and Shelby Foote's Civil War trilogy as one, not three. Otherwise, I guess I made it to 32.
Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

– Procopius
