The Not-So-Dirty Half Dozen Challenge.
1. Read a work of Classic literature - one you've never read before.
Perhaps Bulgakov's Heart of a Dog?
Genre Challenge
- Historical Fiction/Alternative History
I wonder whether Bridge of Birds counts.
- Horror
I am still wondering how to find a horror book that does not actually scare me silly. I noticed the Parasol Protectorate was placed under horror in Blackwells...
- Extra option for those who can: a novel in a foreign language
I still maintain anyone can do this. Just read Trainspotting or some such.
Old Favourite:
The 50 Book Challenge. Says it all, really.
As I said, I am not entirely sure I approve of these challenges measured in sheer numbers. But by all means, I like listing the books I read and seeing what books other people have read.
And one more thing:
It's a good time for you to pick up a book you've been meaning to read for ages. Just tell us which book it is in this post and then read it sometime in 2011.
This is the tricky one. Perhaps the rest of The Faerie Queene? I have only read the first book and some excerpts of the rest.

We tried to get some less-mentioned genres, so makes sense, but you can interpret them widely.
