I agree but when you're craving more Dalinar or wondering whether Shallan's actually going to steal that Soulcaster, it's frustrating to have to read about a group of men carrying a wooden bridge.
Yeah, I guess I can see that. It was usually the opposite for me regarding wanting to get back to the bridge crew.
The silk cleaning scene I referenced comes in either Crossroads of Twilight or Knife of Dreams, I think the former. Jordan was trying to illustrate how far Faile and her queenly attendants had fallen since their capture by the Shaido.
Oh. It's been years since I read either of them. I'll be re-reading the series eventually though.
BTW, it's a little off my original topic, but I'm betting myself that the same group that wants their Soulcaster back from Shallan's family also now controls Szeth.
I can't remember if it's ever said who wants it back. I'll likely re-read that a lot sooner than I will WoT.
