Either that, or his style leaves something left to be desired. I'm not sure which it is. I'll have to ask my friend whose grandfather was Mahfouz's good friend, Salama Moussa. He's one of my Facebook friends.
That is pretty cool... but your friend might perhaps be a tad biased.
