Brandon Sanderson has confirmed that a new, short MISTBORN novel (of 60,000 words, probably longer once it's done) will be published in 2011 by Tor Books. This is one of a couple of projects he's been doodling with in his downtime from WHEEL OF TIME and it's ended up being both better and longer than expected.
The short novel will be set roughly 200 years after the first MISTBORN trilogy (and about the same before the planned second trilogy) and will feature an allomancy gunfight.

Or at least before July. I need more Sanderson. Mistborn was my favorite of his so I'm really excited to read this.
Kirk: Spock, you want to know something? Everybody’s human.
Spock: I find that remark…insulting.

Sweet. The Mistborn universe is still my favorite of his, so far. *NM*
