I was beginning to think I was the only left who loathed it. Only character I liked and respected sacrifices his honor (and life) in an act of senselessness half way through the book.

Also with you and Ghav on Heart of Darkness. Can't remember where I chanced across The Secret Sharer, but, somehow, the entire thing revolving around a fugitive from justice stowed away on a ship only made it slightly less boring (though far less depressing).

The Scarlet Letter. Ugh. Look, I realize you hate yourself, Nate, but do you have to make sure everyone else does, too? Can we count plays? 'Cos I also really hated A Dolls House (though obviously I'll have to be careful how loudly I say that pretty soon. )
