As is Mio, My Son and Karlson on the Roof, the Emil books, Ronia and a lot of other stuff.
It seemed like a kiddies' book (prolly cause it is) and I declined as politely as a 14-year-old can in that situation.
Chapter book suggestions for my 5-year old.
