I'm planning to buy an Ipad in a month or two Larry Send a noteboard - 09/10/2010 03:13:48 PM
You people who own one: did environmental considerations come into play when you bought yours?

Would an e-Reader be better for the environemnt? Obviously fewer forests need to be chopped down, which is lovely for the air, but how green are the components?

I'm almost ready to demand one for a present, and (honestly) apart from the functional aspect of having loads of books in a small space, the green factor is really the deciding point for me.

Thoughts?

And since that will have iBooks as well, I might use that app a few times. Rest assured, environmental concerns wouldn't be considered much at all, in spite of Apple's promotion of "green" recycling possibilities.
