because your review reminded me of Asimov's Foundation novels in the emphasis on the individual within (trapped by?) larger movements of history.
I think he's more thinking of Heinlein and other authors with somewhat right-wing ideas. But since I didn't really go into the details of his political views in the review, I can see why it'd be confusing for me to mention the comparison.
