A few ideas... Legolas Send a noteboard - 02/09/2010 09:38:50 PM
- I second Larry's Helliconia suggestion

- Robert Holdstock's Mythago Wood seems like a good read that I've been meaning to get around to

- And while we're naming classics, same thing for Jack Vance's Lyonesse and his Dying Earth

- Cormac McCarthy's The Road has been suggested before, and would no doubt be quite interesting

- Umberto Eco's Name of the Rose would be fun, but perhaps too intimidating to really get wide participation

- I suppose a lot of people will have read Brandon Sanderson's Way of Kings by then, and seems like that's worth discussing too

I'll add more later as I think of them.

Except Brit comic novels don't seem to lend themselves well to discussions *NM* - 02/09/2010 11:26:37 PM 494 Views
Well, I haven't read Dirk Gently yet (though I intend to). It's the principle of unconventionality.. - 02/09/2010 11:30:42 PM 980 Views
