You mean Tigr's favorite Biblical tale? Larry Send a noteboard - 27/08/2010 10:30:57 PM
It's one of several interesting books that I've either bought or received as a review copy (the above book is scheduled to be released in October). Tempted to read the entire thing now (apparently the authors take actual stories and add their takes on them. One of the authors is Hugo finalist Catherynne M. Valente).

Please tell me someone took on the story about Elijah and the bears. ;)

Here's the vague story references:

1. Ruth

2. Daniel

3. Witch of Endor

4. Valente's is pre-Biblical, actually - Gilgamesh/Enkidu

5. Absalom/Solomon/Tamar

6. Judith and Holofernes

7. Samson

8. Jonah

9. Jesus

Shame there's no bald man conjuring bears to attack kids story, or the donkey-genitaled men with horse emissions.
Illusions fall like the husk of a fruit, one after another, and the fruit is experience. - Narrator, Sylvie
