I hate it when everyone raves about a book and I just can't see whatever it is that they see in it. Part of me accuses myself of being defective somehow. But the rational part says "It's no big deal. Read something you actually might enjoy."
Yeah actually rereading my comment it's a lot more negative than I meant it to be - I don't think much about the whole love story part but the rest of it is interesting and enjoyable.
I wish I hadn't made it the book for my real life book club tho - it kinda broke it it's only a young club and perhaps wasn't ready for a book such as this we'll stick to much easier books in the future...tho it's been a while since we met up - hopefully we'll manage to restart it whoops
But yeah I know what you mean about not getting what's so great about the book. Part of the time I assume I'm missing something but the rest I just go eh and move on.
