How many unfinished books do you have laying around?

I like buying books. Usually a book has 100 pages or so to catch my interest. I really can't slog through books. Most of the time I buy books based on the recommendations from the fine folks here on RAFO. However, sometimes I am led astray. Tsk tsk. Anyways, just taking inventory of my "unread" shelf. Here it goes:
Chronicles of the Black Company by Glen Cook
The Power That Preserves by Stephen Donaldson (3rd book, 1st trilogy of Thomas Convenant)
Dragon Prince by Melanie Rawn
The Broken Crown & The Uncrowned King & The Shining Court by Michelle West (books 1, 2, and 3 of The Sun Sword Trilogy, don't recommend buying trilogies at once)
The Knight by Gene Wolfe (don't see what the big deal was with this book)
Winterbirth by Brian Ruckley
Magician: Apprentice by Raymond E. Feist (not sure if I finished this book or not. Regardless, never read any more in the series)
King's Dragon & Prince of Dogs by Kate Elliot (books 1 and 2 of the Crown of Stars series)
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke (really disappointed this one)
I think thats it. Man, I didn't realize I left so many books unfinished. I also have plenty of unfinished trilogies or series. Ok, I'm giving Chronicles of the Black Company another try. Crossing my fingers.

Ça, c'est vrai. Mais c'est bien plus difficile que la langue maternelle du lecteur. *NM*

I still think it's ridiculous to claim you're bad at languages.

Eh. Easily learning vocabulary isn't the same as skill, either.

I guess you're an exception to what we were saying about people not knowing their own grammar.
