Nice review. You seem to have gotten deeper into it than I did, so I can say this for people: you definitely don't need to try to understand all the layers and meanings that are meshed into the book in order to enjoy it. It's a great read just as a medieval murder mystery set in a mysterious monastary with a fantastic labyrinth, wrapped up in interesting theology, history, and philosophy.

I should read the book again, for sure.

I've tried getting into Foucault's Pendulum but I keep getting sidetracked by other things.
