Sounds even better! Kristen Send a noteboard - 15/07/2010 12:01:24 AM
There were so many more authors that I didn't run into. Very industry-heavy group, my observation - either editors, reviewers, or writers, published or aspiring. I frequently got the impression that my sister and I were some of the only civilians there. Which is great for us. Unless I'm in Africa, I will definitely go next year.

It sounds like there is more opportunity to talk to authors than at something as large and generalized as Book Expo America. I think I will have to try to plan ahead and see about going next year.

I also really want to go to WisCon. Several people, when asked how well they like this con, said that WisCon is their favorite (those people, btw, being men). But that's not a reality for me until after I pass the CFA exams, which is 2012 at the earliest. I find out in 2 weeks if I passed level 2, and if I failed, it's WisCon 2013 at best.

WisCon sounds great, too! I probably won't be going to that one anytime soon, either, though, since it isn't as close.

Good luck with the exam! I am sure you will do well and don't need luck, though.

And in case I haven't made the point clear enough in my post - I'm totally starstruck by Elizabeth Bear.

I LOVE her books! And would so love to meet her too.
