I intend to read, in no particular order:
- Evelyn Waugh, Brideshead Revisited
- Ian McEwan, Amsterdam
- Naguib Mahfouz, Between the Two Castles (or whatever the English title is - Dutch translation of the Arabic original)
- Kazuo Ishiguro, When We Were Orphans
- Zadie Smith, White Teeth
- A.S. Byatt (of course), Still Life
- Jorge Luis Borges, Ficciones
- Amin Maalouf, Identités Meurtrières ("Murderous identities", non-fiction about identity and how narrowing down one's identity to one single aspect, be it nationalistic, ethnic, religious,.. is dangerous)
- likely also Stieg Larsson, the last two books of the Millennium-trilogy
We'll see if I get all of those done, but as I'll be on holiday and not online much, that should give me much more reading time.
