That's where I started and it worked out quite well.
In the UK the book is available in two formats, in two volumes in the Fantasy Masterworks Collection (SHADOW AND CLAW and SWORD AND CITADEL, IIRC) or as one volume entitled SEVERIAN OF THE GUILD.
My copies are second-hand ones of the original four-volume edition (SHADOW OF THE TORTURER, CLAW OF THE CONCILIATOR, SWORD OF THE LICTOR and CITADEL OF THE AUTARCH), which I've seen a fair few times in second-hand bookstores.

Because I'd like to try some Wolfe too.
