Sorry, I don't have a jazz musician on W. And I am listening to Benny Goodman anyway. But that is slightly to the left of the point.

I am reading P.G. Wodehouse. More specifically Jeeves and the Feudal Spirit. It is delicious. As I knew it would be.

I recalled the incident to which she referred, it having happened to come up in the examination paper that time I won that prize for Scripture Knowledge at my private school, but it's probably new to you, so I will give a brief synopsis. For some reason which has escaped my memory they told this Mrs Lot, while out walking one day, not to look around or she would be turned into a pillar of salt, so of course she immediately did look round and by what I have always thought to be an odd coincidence she was turned into a pillar of salt. It just shows you, what? I mean to say, you never know where you are these days.

My point, Wodehouse is good. And even better with instrumental jazz in the background and a glass on wine in your hand. Although I suppose technically it should be a cocktail of some sort.

But Bertie basically got some of the very best of Plum's prose, philosophy and dialogue. So I had to read them all.

And Jeeves was very clever, which makes things easier.

Wodehouse is one of my all-time favorites. I'd recommend starting with Carry On, Jeeves - 26/06/2010 12:39:32 AM 417 Views

One potential problem worth noting for Wodehouse newcomers - 26/06/2010 09:07:46 PM 435 Views
