I have been worrrying about this too. StormCrow Send a noteboard - 10/06/2010 09:54:18 PM
At least the movies were:P I have not read the books but she loved the first two or three movies and went around telling everyone she was going wizard school to fight giant snakes. After the started truning dark we had to stop letting her watch them. She kind of lost interest anyways when thye stopped looking like kids.

Of course mostly she wants me to read Anne of Green Gables or The Wizard of OZ. She hates Peter Pan for some reason. I think it rambles too much for her. Of course anything is better than abridged Disney movies in book form. Sadly she loves those and I have already read Beauty and the Beast twice this week.

Hence, the selective editing, but the last few of these are pretty intense. Maybe he will lose interest too. I want to keep him interested in reading, so I'm trying to stay open to reading it, while balancing the fact that he can't hear certain things just yet.

Why is Disney so addictive to kids? We go through those books too. They're good stories, the first time or two around. ;)
