I was looking to replace as many of my actual books as possible, because I simply have too many and have no place to store them. Most are packed away in my garage where I can't conveniently get to them. Since I'm the kind of person who loves to reread, that's kind of frustrating. Its also probably bad for them since, as you know, in Louisiana, the humidity is a bitch.
The sony that I looked at was the Daily Edition. Its kind of big, but it allows you to buy memory cards so I wouldn't have to replace the reader. Which is good, because its rather expensive at about $350.
Lol, I would be willing, but am far from able.
Thank you for your time, Ghavrel. I appreciate it.
The Sony (at least the model I own) seems to be the sturdiest of all of them, but it doesn't have wireless like the Kindle or the Nook. It operates like an iPod.

Kindles don't support EPUB, which is one of the big standards. But the Nook and Sony obviously can't use the Kindle-only format that Amazon is pushing (unless you're decent with computers and willing to engage in some questionably legal DRM circumvention).

/Survey. Not sure if this is the right board.

Oh goodness. You're one of them border-folk. Glad to see you're not from the frozen hinterlands. *NM*
