The Sony (at least the model I own) seems to be the sturdiest of all of them, but it doesn't have wireless like the Kindle or the Nook. It operates like an iPod.
Kindles don't support EPUB, which is one of the big standards. But the Nook and Sony obviously can't use the Kindle-only format that Amazon is pushing (unless you're decent with computers and willing to engage in some questionably legal DRM circumvention).
