So many people seem to hate Heart of Darkness so much....but god I love that book...in fact it's near the top of my list of all time favorites.

I think this means we can't be friends anymore...shared love of Tool or no.

But what about that shared enjoyment of the erotic?? Doesn't that trump all?!

Srsly though, how did you like Heart of Darkness? Maybe I'll get a fresh perspective.

I suppose I can forgive this one disagreement!

How did I like Heart of Darkness? I loved the scenery, I loved the overall darkness in the book, and the contrasts between the light. I loved how the trip down the river was also a symbollic trip into madness, and of course the end...."the horror" was just brilliant.

The first time I read it I thought it was an amazing book. The symbolism was deep and thought provoking, and there were just so many layers in the book...it was one of the deepest 90 page books I've ever read. In fact....I think I'm gonna read it when I get home tonight.
