1. What dystopian literature have you read?
1984
Animal Farm
Feed
The Giver
The Uglies series
The Declaration
Fahrenheit 451
A Clockwork Orange
On the Beach
And doubtless others that I cannot remember
Wow, that's lots.
2. Which was your favorite, and why?
I might have to go with Geoff on this one...They all have strongpoints that I enjoy. However, I enjoy the vocabulary of Feed and Clockwork Orange.
*nods* I bought that just last year. Plan on reading it and The handmaid's tale this year.
3. Which was your least favorite, and why?
Probably On the Beach, I couldn't really engage with the characters.
Why not?
4. Which did you find most disturbing, and why?
1984 because it seemed like there was little hope.
I think that's how I'm feeling about We. The ending's not pretty. I'm wondering if the review from the NYT- "lyrically optimistic, despite its grim ending," is true.
5. Do you find it hard to read some dystopian literature because it is so disturbing?
Haven't found one yet.

The problem with post-apocalyptic stories is that there are so many which are utter crap.
