Who are your favourite gods/deities in fiction... and why? What do you like about them?
My favourite remains the Valar written by Tolkein. I especially loved all their history and lore in the Silmarillion, as well as their different abilities, personalities and exploits against Morgoth. I also like how he wrote about the various Maia and what they all got up to.
What about you?
All from Erikson: Mael, Cotillion, Shadowthrone
Lightsong the Bold from Warbreaker as also awesome.

I'm definitely a fan of the Valar. Partial to the Dragonlance pantheon, too.

I'm afraid I have to take issue with you grouping the Endless among the gods.
