Mieville was on my list Aeryn Send a noteboard - 24/04/2010 10:41:34 PM
Did anyone else finish their list and wonder how certain authors didn't make the list?

For me, after review I was surprised that Neil Gaiman, China Mieville, Robert Jordan, and Orson Scott Card weren't on it. These are some of my favorite authors, but none of them have any books that stood out enough to make my list. I was really surprised that Gaiman didn't make more appearances in that thread.

On a side note, I've read more RA Salvatore books than any other author. I'm not surprised at all that he wasn't on anyone's list (including mine). Call it a guilty pleasure, but I do enjoy his books.

I didn't care for Scar so I wouldn't call Mieville one of my favorite writers, but Perdido Street Station was amazing. I couldn't call a book a favorite unless I've read it more than once.

I didn't share most people's love for Gaiman or Card.
