Either you love Dune or you don't. Give it tens or fifteen years and that might change but I doubt it. Dune is an odd book with a lot of strengths but also a lot of weaknesses and some people love while others hate it. A lot like LOTR that way but not as easy a read.

Try reading Darwinia or The Legacy of Heorot instead.
