Because the WT would apparently lose her great, much needed potential in the advent of TG... Seems somewhat contradictory to your argument now that the WT with many AS & other potential channelers is basically useless.

It was not Else in particular, but what her sending away revealed about the Tower and its practices and habits. These practices and 3,000 year habits are what make it an albatross or a millstone on the neck of the world. Else is immaterial by herself - it is because the Tower has sent away women like her for the last 500 years that their numbers are so deficient. A Tower that would have retained Else would not have been the object of derision of this post, not because they kept Else, but because it would be a much different sort of place, and probably far more useful.

However, according to Prophecy, Rand has to unite all the Westlands to win TG; this includes Tar Valon and the WT.


According to Egwene, that's ridiculous.
