The chapter ends giving us no clue whether or not there was a body remaining. Most people assume that balefire killed Asmodean, and thus there would be no body. I imagine that if someone found Asmodean's body that they would tell Rand, but I suppose that would be contingent on the circumstance that someone recognized the body. I don't remember how many people died, but it might have been possible that Asmodean's body was lost among the dead.
