Ok a big argument about his possible killer is the speed to kill a channeler thing...

I have a problem here. Many seem to think that a channeler is like a freakin god. It's just not that way. Think how many asha'man dropped to aiel spears coming out of the gateways. These dude were ready for combat. Asmodean was not, he was opening a door to get some damn wine. on top of that he hesitated because of the shock of knowing his killer. So really any person knowing how to use a knife could have done it. disagree? perhaps because of the issue with needing to be killed ultra fast, words still in the air when death took him and all that? well a knife across the throat can do that, even a two rivers bumkin could have been the killer.

My point with this post? If theories are going to be properly sifted through we should at least use the proper criteria.

Many people wrongly believe that only a channeler could have killed Asmo, while - as it is pointed out and shown several times in the series - the key for a non-channeler to kill a channeler is simply surprise and speed.

PS it cant be balefire. if the words were still in the air when death took him it could NOT be balefire. The weave would have erased the words before they ever happened even the smallest amount possible. :p

Balefire can't be the weapon, because RJ said that the DO couldn't transmigrate Asmo because of how and where he died. Even Moiraine's weak balefire could prevent the DO from transmigrating Be'lal. Therefore it simply makes no sense that an even stronger channeler balefired Asmo, but the DO still could have transmigrated him (apparently if he hadn't died in Caemlyn, which also doesn't make much sense).
