Sheesh, you people are babies. I read it. Some good points.

Essentially, he's saying that the main characters have never had to make any real difficult or morally ambiguous choices.
Rand has never had to overthrow an otherwise good man for not joining him (the nobles are generally pictured as worthless), Egwene didn't have to actually war against the tower, or deal with Elaida, and so on. Everyone (for the most part) manages to come out of their trials squeaky-clean.
Hmm.
The "unpleasantness" after the Aiel War might qualify for this. We still don't know everything that happened, there. Black Ajah, secret killings, and more. There might have been a group of Aes Sedai that were pretty brutal in trying to figure out what the BA was up to.
Perrin allowing the Seancean to collar the Shaido Wise Ones could be a big one, although it's mostly been glossed over.
Rand's balefiring of Graendal's keep? Could be, but it IS one of the Forsaken...
Mat leaving enemy soldiers to die, instead of offering aid? Eh.
Yeah, I see what you mean. None of these are really in the category of what you were saying.

I amuse myself.
Did the characters come too easily to power?

Yes, and for Rand at least IMO, playing nice has cost dearly

All the way through, up to ripping her self-delusional assessments of her "achievements" in KoD

Ha! Imagine if I didn't double-space the paragraphs. That is a fairly new practice on my part.

I was more focussed on the cost of GETTING power, not the prices of discharging it responsibly

Siuan's failure to properly help Rand should motivate Egwene to overthrow...oh, right. Egwene.
