Maybe the next book will touch on it more. TGS basically just touched on some loose ends from the whole Perrin storyline since PoD -- Faile bumps off Masema then has a little memorial service for Rolan, while Perrin thinks, "Whoa, I was really going off the deep end in CoT." Sanderson was largely concentrating on the Rand and Egwene storylines for greater coherence in this ones, and maybe saved the repercussions of this for later.

Perrin is a very delicate chap who can't stand the thought of murder? *NM*
