The theory merely states that the wheel is infinite.
If it is infinite and will turn for infinity that means, the DO will break free.
But if it has already turned infinitely, and the DO has never broke free, then there is no chance of him ever breaking free. So your line of thought never helps the theory, indeed I am sure its not what the writer meant by "1c. the wheel is infinite".
Regardless, your point is still invalid as I mentioned above.
