What's really going on with Moiraine? When we first meet "Bors" at the meeting of darkfriends, we discover that Moiraine is missing with no explanation. Could she be at this meeting? Later in the GH, Ingtar gives Rand the bundle with the Dragon Banner. Ingtar is a known DF who just gives the Dragon Reborn something that "his life could depend on." Arguably, Ingtar does renounce the Dark and come back to the Light, but we do not know when this happens exactly. So, was Ingtar taking orders because an Aes Sedai told him to, or because a DF who was higher than he told him to? Another interesting point is in tEotW, Rand has some strange dreams where Lan and Moiraine are hinted at being DF. These could be influenced by Ishy being in his dreams, but RJ rarely puts something meaningless in his books unless its a sniff, spanking, foot-stomp, or minute dress detailing. With all this being said, I do not believe that Lan or Moiraine are DFs. But I do think it is entirely possible that Moiraine is posing as one similar to Verin. It seems kind of redundant to have two characters filling the same role in the story, but I think it is more probable than the alternative. What are your thoughts?
