Hi,

I'm not sure if anyone else has proposed this idea, but what if Taim also hears a voice in his head, similar to Rand and Lews Therin? I think this would explain his seeming to know the phrases from Age of Legends and his sigil matching Sammael's and Belal's.

Feel free to shoot it down, haha.


Tainted males see and hear things that aren't there - they are truly mad. This is just my opinion, though the Guide does say that tainted males do get trapped in delusions which they act on. We can see this from Lews Therin's behaviour in EoTW (Prologue).

Rand seems to hear a real voice, and I think it's well described by Semirhage's speech in KoD. Some people hear voices, but he hears a real voice. It makes quite a difference.

I also don't think that Taim is tainted. He explains having killed tainted males before, and doesn't act strangely. Eben and recollections of Owyn show that tainted males are always wierd, and don't act normally at all.
