Everyone knows its that time again: You know you have your favorite battle scenes, and likely as not, these are the scenes you have dog-eared, bookmarked or memorized anytime you need to remember which book some series of events occurred in. Which of these are in your list that prove a certain character capable of l33t level of threat the likes of which Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee and Thor have never seen and why? They don't have to be sustained throughout the series - just enough for you to be convinced that Freddy Kruger, Jason Lives and Satan don't have much, if anything, on them.
My top 2:
-Lanfear throws waves of fire at the Aiel, proceeds to throw Lan to the side, b***h slaps Moiraine so hard with Air that the Aes Sedai rolls under a wagon, Shields then tortures Egwene and Aviendha all while chatting to Rand.
I love this scene because no single Forsaken ever revealed themselves as destructive and powerful in person as Lanfear did. In many ways, she is the only one that backed up her reputation and took the gloves off to show what one of them is possible. Every other Forsaken seemed to be weaker then she is, so in my minds' eye, she is the one most capable of backing her threats up with a terrifying level of sustained violence.
-Moghedien rips Birgitte out of the World of Dreams...after Birgitte has already nailed her with an arrow to the chest.
Not only did Moghedien show what a true master of the world of dreams can prove in a way that Lanfear and Ishamael have not, which is fitting considering she is the most powerful and skilled there, she took an arrow to the chest and continued her channeling and manipulation of Tel'Aran'Rhiod. Contrast this with other channelers who take lethal blows and then are out of the fight not to mention the complexity of what Moghedien did, and she basically took the stage as one of the most frightening Forsaken for me. No wonder it is said that many more formidable opponents who dismissed her ended up dead or destroyed. Contrast her battle with Nynaeve with every male Forsaken's battle with Rand, and you really get the opinion that to Moghedien, any slight was personal. She didn't want to just kill or capture Nynaeve, she made it clear that she would destroy and twist her so that her revenge could be complete. Her level of bad@$$ery continues - after stumbling to the hiding place of the Black Ajah, she is Healed and has her arrow removed...enduring levels of shock and pain that leave stronger men bed-ridden for days in seconds, just in time to push back a Shield, weave a complicated net of Compulsion and utter one of the best commands in the series. Noone else has made "Live" into a weapon, and thus her kick@ssery is truly assured.

The first rule of being a ninja is "do no harm". Unless you intend to do harm, then do lots of harm.
