And Elza had only orders regarding the Domination Band.

It also seems blatantly obvious that we're supposed to wonder why the AK would be left behind ... why mention it? why have them in the same place as the DB and yet leave it behind? I'm not seeing the logic of linking the two items for absolutely no reason.

It's possible that the Cleansing was the only time where Moridin cared because it was the one time where part of the Taint/TP/DO was actually DESTROYED, on a MASSIVE scale. I think that as much as we (the WoT community) think this event was great for the Light, we are still underrating it.

Plus there are indications that Moridin might be unable to channel the OP (he only uses TP, his fight with Rand in TDR could have left his soul burnt out, and it might account for Rand's channelling sickness), so the CK are not as important to him as we think. He obviously has no cause to trust any of the OTHER Forsaken with the CK; in fact, Rand is probably the most manipulate-able of all channellers at this time. Think about it.

The AK is far too potentially damaging to the Shadow to be left in Rand's possession without a reason. Think it through, here we have the tool which enabled Rand to remove the taint from saidin sitting right in front of you, why on earth would you leave it behind?

Yep, I'm not really 100% on most things in the series unless there is no doubt. - 02/02/2010 08:03:31 PM 668 Views

Moridin probably just wanted the access key to prevent the Cleansing - 02/02/2010 10:26:11 AM 7156 Views
no reason to take the tool that allowed Rand to Cleanse saidin? - 02/02/2010 01:34:59 PM 734 Views
We don't even know if SH knew about the access key in the box - 02/02/2010 02:09:32 PM 668 Views
So the DO's Hand doesn't know about the AK? And we have a quote with Elza's orders where? - 02/02/2010 02:14:58 PM 679 Views
If Elza had the order to take the access key, she would have taken it - 02/02/2010 02:29:08 PM 693 Views
As I've said a million times... I'm on the fence with this theory - 02/02/2010 03:52:31 PM 1140 Views
Again: there wasn't a Forsaken near the opened box. *NM* - 02/02/2010 04:22:32 PM 640 Views
So SH is the idiot? Okay! - 02/02/2010 04:59:36 PM 762 Views
He might not know about the access key in the box or have other priorities. *NM* - 02/02/2010 07:20:36 PM 621 Views
Elza certainly knows what it is - 05/02/2010 06:40:46 PM 657 Views
