To me, the post reads like he can forsee potential delays even though he doesn't say so outright--from what I remember, we didn't get a similar post about TGS potentially taking longer than expected.
EDIT: I wonder what the fact that he feels the need reread KoD could signify, taking into account that he presumably just reread it for purposes of writing TGS. Just about all the plotlines not covered in a big way in TGS seem to have hit turning points in KoD and appear to be on different trajectories now: Mat going after Moiraine, Perrin presumably trying to find his way back to Rand and running into Galad in the process, etc.
