could be dead. From the way that the book reads at face value, she is dead. However I am not convinced. Why? There's an old saying that you can never be too sure that someone's dead unless you see a body.
Never trust an off-scene death.
Is Graendal dead? I'm not sure...but since its near the end of the series, I'm gonna say yes. Would I be suprised if she just appeared in the next book? Not in the least.
This is exactly how I feel. I'm just not sure that there's enough room left in the series for a Graendal reappearance. However, from the moment I read it, I haven't been satisfied with her death so I would be very happy to see something like this in the next book:
-
Rand: No Nyneave, I don't care about Taim, I'm too busy -
Graendal: BOO!
Rand: Gaaah! Greandal!? But we all thought you were dead!
Graendal: That's what I wanted you to think!
Rand: Aaaw, you!

-
It will probably be something exactly like that.
