I imagine I'd be pretty annoyed if it actually happened, but it's neat to think about.
Maybe if it was the kind of thing where you know there could be a sequel series (or even just a trilogy) that involved taking back a land covered in Shadow- sort of how the Mistborn trilogy was before it kind of veered off.
But that couldn't really happen here, since if the DO wins, it's not an Evil Empire, it's "reality has been unmade."
It would be nice to see some "the Shadow is actually pretty smart" stuff. Long-range plans paying off, and the like. We haven't seen much of that, except maybe the whole thing where the Forsaken pitted Rand and Sammael against each other.
