Tamra. Her speech after Gitara Moroso's death in NS was heartbreaking. Lord Haart Send a noteboard - 26/01/2010 08:28:37 AM
Rolan as well, I'm pretty sure he realised that Perrin was going to kill him but he decided to die rather than killing Faile's true love. That takes a very special kind of honour and courage. Say what you want about Perrin's story arc post-LoC, but there were certainly some of the most powerful plot points of the series in there.

Birgitte gets a mention of course, sacrificing her immortality and love for her sense of rightness. Though as a HotH, she probably had some taveren-ish influence on her.

Also, Lady Shiaine seems to either lack fear, or controls it very well. In the same room as BA and AS, bound by the power, but never gets scared IIRC.

I'm also on the fence about Niall; his was a misplaced sense of bravery at best though, and probably did more harm than good. Loved his chapters though, some of the most interesting since they were a departure from the younger POVs we usually got.

As for cowards, Carradin was by FAR the worst in the series, shortly behind Asmodean (who gets a break from me because he added heaps to the plot). Carradin was just horrible.

Elaida was also pretty terrible, having a hissy fit at a 20 year old girl who stood up to her and she lashes out in fear at everything that moves.
