Even in the Ways, that's a significantly different route to the one to Rand in KoD - the other side of Randland, in fact.
That's not really how the Ways work. The various paths do not follow geographical logic, that's in part why you absolutely need to follow the Guidings not to get lost. There are many ways to get to each Waygate, some shorther and some longer - and some are dead ends because of the state of the Ways.
It's one reason why Moridin could not hope to stop the groups sent against Rand in KOD. They were scattered all over the place in smaller groups, heading for the same Waygate by various paths.
Even in the ways, this is a long journey fraught with peril. They wouldn't take the Ways without Mydraal, unless if was organised such that the Mydraal "dropped them off" there.
Of course it's perilous and there are heavy losses to Machin Shin every time. How many were sent so 100,000 did manage to reach the South? How many got killed by Machin Shin, how many groups got scattered and managed to escape and exit randomnly, for example after a Myrddraal in charge got killed?
Even in the ways, this is a long journey The only other possibility I see is that someone on the Shadow wants to reunite Rand with the Seanchan (by showing the latter that there is a common enemy). Verin is the only name that comes to mind here.
That's not even a possibility.
Any thoughts on the tinkers?

Tinkers don't really represent Order, since they are nonviolent.
