Moiraine..hands down. The question was who has sacrificed the most and Moiraine clearly HAS sacrificed and was willing to sacifice the most. Verin? She was undoubtably brave..But in the end she was doing something she loved...studying...What Moiraine loved or wanted or needed never entered her thoughts. For her it was ALL about the Cause..She gave up friendship, love, romance, any hope of advancment in the Tower..She stated more than once in various ways that she would toss her own morals out the window if it came to it and in the end she didn'teven hesitate to die for her cause. ALL the other candidates..including Rand.. hang on or hung on to something else, be it love or a passion of theirs or even hope for a normal life agian...Moiraine gave it all up..She was a hard-ass mamma.
