not really disappointed so much as confused darius_sedai Send a noteboard - 17/01/2010 08:12:27 AM
i was thinking how dissapointing the graendal story line was and i thought it would of been alot more entertaining if she was captured and then began subverting rands group from the inside

I'm not sure if it was the difference in Bsands style or if it was a deliberate ruse, but something felt off about the scene. Balefire has never worked quite like this in the past, Graendal was way too clumsy leading into the situation, and killing off a Forsaken without the us seeing her die always leaves us thinking ... ala Sammael. I'm not 100% convinced of Graendal's death which IMO takes a little something away from the moment.

In concept it was an epic death scene, but it executed with too many "huh???" elements to have neatly wrapped the storyline up. I really hope we get a few answers in ToM... I'll be happy with her death in this way if we get a little more closure, Sammael's death never felt right because we had to rely on RJ telling us later that he was "toast" and give us an out of storyline explanation.
