That there were long lasting quarrels in the Hall and that no women participated in the Strike, because of Latra's Fateful Concord. As I replied to Ryan, I doubt that RJ would wrote SaSG with a wrong or absurd explanation, if it was actually his intention to explain more what happened then. Plus, RJ treats it as being correct in the quote I posted.
It's certainly possible, though, that also ta'vern or the Pattern directly influenced the women not to help LTT.

No denying that. The problem I have with this is that it is not in any way realistic for LTT, in a world with half a million channelers, to be unable to gain the support of just 7. It would require a quarrel that is utterly silly to the point of absurdity.
Ta'veren could be a potential explanation for something so completely unrealistic to be certain, but I would have expected LTT to have realised this. I mean if Ta'veren existed in our world, and a president candidate in US was one, and there was a vote and _100%_ of the population voted against him, don't you think people might suspect that maybe Ta'veren had something to do with it? Especially if the candidate was otherwise a decent and charismatic bloke.
The other explanation that I thought of (and there are probably other potential explanations) was that the AS he needed were somehow special with unique talents.
So this is what I thought of in a nutshell:
Half a million female channelers. LTT who is their leader. He proposes a plan which while risky could win the war. Situation was already approaching critical giving some justification for this. _NO ONE_ supports him. Not seven out of half a million.
Could be that RJ did not think the numbers through and I am over-analyzing the issue and that it is simply a minor plot-hole and nothing more. It happens.
On the other hand it could be exactly as it appears. The AS really were so silly that not a single female AS supported LTT. Unrealistic and stupid in my view, but it could be so.
Or there could be an explanation we are as yet unaware. I thought of the idea of there being a special talent that meant that rather than having to convince 500K channelers, LPD only had to convince these ultra-special few with this pattern-talent.
Oh, and RJ could have slipped in minor errors or things he did not want to reveal back then into the story, and used the explanation that it was actually written by someone inside the WoT world as an excuse for this. If the story was written by a borderlander scholar based on some old manuscript that barely survived the breaking, then any errors or inaccuracies in the text would be because of that. So it is accurate the way most of what the AS in the books believe is accurate. Likely, but with the potential of the character being wrong.
LTT and the bore.
