Or is RJ the only author that makes nudity seem commonplace and boring? Seriously, think about any of your favorite female characters from other books and then think about the author writing a scene where they are naked. It would be hot, no? Especially if its a long series and you have known the character for such a long time.
Now think about Moiraine. Here is a Gandalf-type character who is always cool and mysterious. This is not typically the type of character who has nude scenes. But now think about all the times she has been nude. Do anything for you? I didn't think so.
Any thoughts on this subject?

I don't read fantasy for sex scenes, nor do I write it for sex scenes either. If the flow of the story happens that way, fine, get it done and over with. As for the Wheel of Time, there are plenty refrences to sex. Some of Jordan's comments where...out there. I think he's been referred to as a dirty old man more then once. However, he wrote in a style I think that appealled to readers of a wide variety of age groups. You know it happens, but you don't need all the details.
The past is just that, the past. You can only truly live by looking to the future!

RJ probably never intended for his readers to get an erection from the descriptions

It wasn't descriptive. Someone would just say "we say around naked and had tea"
