Is that like Betty Davis eyes? *NM* darius_sedai Send a noteboard - 07/01/2010 10:32:52 PM
All this talk of Saa made me think of Ishamaels fire eyes.

Has anyone ever wondered, how exactly did he live with those damn things?

I mean his eyes and mouth are described as "caverns of flame". If his eyeballs had roasted away to the point that there was nothing left but fire in empty sockets, then how the heck did he see anything? Had he used so much TP that he had become sorta half-shadowspawn and gained a sight similar to that of the Myrddraal.

Also how did he eat? I mean would anything he put in his mouth not have been instantly burned? I guess that might be an advantage though, Ishamael would never have to worry about his food cooling down. All his food would be charred though. And how did he speak if his tongue had burned away by the flames?

And what about drinking? What happened when he had a glass of water? Did the water turn to steam in his mouth? That might be inconvenient. What if he felt like drinking a bit of alcohol. That could not have ended well.

Also I wonder if the flames were painfull. Flames usually are. Was he in constant agony all the time?

Did Ishamael snore? How did he sleep without igniting his pillow and burning down the bed?
