Hmmm this is more interesting than I initially thought it would be.
I mean, it seems to me that this would be information that a captor holding Semirhage in the Age of Legends would have researched and confirmed; it lasted for a over a hundred of years after all. Even for an Aes Sedai back then, the process of aging took place - it just slowed.
Thus the war could have started with LTT looking to be in the prime of life with no gray hair at his temple, and by a certain point, you notice that the stress has made him gray. Put that side by side with Lanfear looking even better or exactly the same than she did when the war first broke out and this might be where the Forsaken gained their confirmation.
