In the prologue of Loc, Demandred mentions how the lack of 'tributes' to the DO is causing a sword shortage among the Myrdraal. From what has been mentioned in the books and the World of the Wheel (the BWB to Yanks) Fade swords last much longer than 'normal' human blades due in part to the human souls within.
So, what was stopping the DO's forces from capitalizing on the glut of human souls that they could put in the swords during the War and creating a stockpile of Fade Blades, that could last them till TG?
A)an oversite that the lightsiders will be thankfull of during TG because they are facing less dangerous Fades?
B) laziness on the side of evil because the process takes too long and Trollocs always want seconds, thirds ect and are easier to placate than Fades?
C)the process was invented/ discovered too late in the war to captitalise on it?
D) there was a stockpile and its running dangerously low after 3000 years and some of the Fade Blades got lost in The Breaking?
E) making such a stockpile would be idiotic as the Blades would wear out over time anyway?
or finaly F) there is a stockpile of Fade Blades but a well meaning Dreadlord put them in stasis boxes or vacuoles and then noone could find where in Randland said Dreadlord put them? which could explain why the Forsaken have been hunting for the boxes and why Moridin found a convinient vacuole for Moggy to be put in.
